The Works and Services Department in the last ADB Assisted Project “Sindh Provincial Road Improvement Project” have completed the detailed road and structure condition survey comprising of 43,000 kms of road in Sindh Province and updated in Road Asset Management System Softwares. Considering the rain / flood 2022 which have played havoc across the Sindh Province, a strategy to upgrade the existing RAMS has been developed, which aims to (i) renew the existing RAMS by enhancing its database and make use of HDM-4 applications so that a series of road maintenance programs and investments can be conducted; and (ii) provide a suitable training program so that the RAMS will be properly operated and maintained. The total cost estimate of the component is around $ 1.9 million which includes consulting services and data collection
